At Canfish, Safety is a top priority

Safety is an integral part of our company’s operation, intended to protect our employees, clients, property, the environment and the public.

There are many costs to accidents and unsafe work practices. The greatest costs are human costs. By protecting our employees, we are also protecting their friends, families, fellow workers, management, the public and the environment from far-reaching effects of serious accidents. We are also protecting the future of our company and our ability to continue business and employing people.

In addition to protecting lives, our safety program contributes to employee morale and pride because our employees participate in identifying needs and developing safe work procedures.

The management at Canfish Services Inc. and Canfish Pipe Recovery Ltd. are committed to the health and safety of employees, contractors, the public and the environment, as well as ensuring that all applicable legislation is incorporated into the safety program and to the consistent compliance with that legislation. Everyone working for or on behalf of our companies is responsible for maintaining the safety program.

Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, providing training, supplying appropriate PPE and ensuring that all equipment is maintained and meets legislated safety standards. Their role is supported by input from all employees.

Managers, supervisors, workers, contractors and others on company worksites are responsible for complying with the organization’s health and safety standards including obeying all safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures, wearing and using PPE when required, participating in safety training and informing supervisors of any unsafe work conditions. Everyone has the responsibility to refuse unsafe work. By fulfilling our safety responsibilities, everyone who works for Canfish Services Inc. and Canfish Pipe Recovery Ltd. will share in the benefits of a safe workplace.
